Sooo ... will start with a bunch of roses I bought to brighten up the dining room ...
Sunday was spent with children and grandchildren at Jeanette's house - here's our little wild child who has thankfully recovered enough to come home from a weekend in hospital ... never a dull moment for this little guy !!!
Our cutie pie, Erin .. blowing her whistle ...
... showing me her pigtails ...

... and having a special moment with Grampa ...

Chandelier in the Freemason's Hall ....

... and a frilly palm tree flower ....

Update on the indigenous Blue Squill .....

... and a frilly palm tree flower ....
... and the Clivia at our driveway gate ...

and lastly the fresh new green growth of the Silver Birch .. peek-a-boo .. nice to see you too !

One of our usual visitors to the garden, the Hadeda, decided to rest near the pool ..
On Saturday evening hubby and I were joined by Elaine and Bryan, and we dined at the Kai Thai in Monte Casino ... food was yummy - far, far nicer than the Kai Thai near where we live ...

... and then we watched the Tattoo which was held in the grounds of Monte Casino. I booked as soon as the bookings opened, months ago, as we had heard so many great revues from the past two years performances. We were all a little disappointed - maybe I had greater expectations but it wasn't what I was expecting.
It was very colourful .. with flags being whirled ...

... and the highlight - for me anyway .... well, I do have a bit of Scottish blood running through me ... were the Pipes and Drums and the Highland dancers !

...and the gum boot dancers pounded the floor and their boots in typical ethnic rhythm ..

It ended too soon ... I was expecting more! Will do a post on the Tattoo later this week

Love the movement you got in the tattoo photos!
I'm glad Connor is back from the hospital Avril, what a relief it must be for you! Loved all your pictures again especially the kids and the pretty flowers in your garden! Have a great week!
I'm so glad your little guy is okay...what a trouper he is....your photos are beautiful
So many pictures of so many interesting things.
I really need to get my garden into some kind of shape before summer and seeing that Janet has done hers, maybe I need to make a plan as well.
I am envious of the flowers in your garden. You clivias is awesome. I just planed my first clivia, so I am not holding my breath for flowers this year, but maybe next.
It looks like the Tattoo was a great experience.
