For those who wanted to see the rest ... ....

... of the Asara Wine Estate .... and particularly the Bistro and Tapas Bar ....

Our table was on the patio ....
...and we started with a few mini tapas to share : garlic toast (yum - and I had to have a piece and pity the person sitting next to me on the plane!), lamb balls in a delicious sauce (it was now two weeks ago so there is no way I can remember what kind of sauce!), scrumptiously fried fingers of aubergine in a tomato sauce (easy to remember!) and yummy deep fried goats cheese in a mustard sauce! mmm....mmm...!

Sat back and enjoyed the breathtaking views while we waited for the 'mains' ...

.... and slowly sipped a glass of Asara Merlot - which I highly recommend! Only had one glass though :( .... hence the slow-sipping ... needed to 'be in control' at the check-in counter at airport!

I had a spicy prawn and melon salad ....

Ian had a beef fillet - grilled to perfection ! Eyeing that juicy fillet ... waiting for me to stop taking photos .... !

Kathy had a delicious roast veggie and salad 'salad' ....

.. very tasty coffee followed, with little 'cookies' ... and note my slowly-sipped wine still has a mouthful to go ... !

... and while still enjoying this breathtaking view and watching the little duckies swimming across the dam ......

... Ian broke down and decided to indulge in mini doughnuts served with banana icecream and chocolate sauce .... I had one to taste .. mmm ... mmm !! Wow - it was goooood!! .. so light and fluffy !! ...

Then it was homeward bound ... back down the long scenic driveway ... to the airport ...

... got to try the wine tasting next time ... with hubby? Daniella? Mr T? CS and CA ? ....
