Skywatch Friday : Winter's blues

Once a cold front blows over this little patch of earth where we live (Gauteng, South Africa)
the sky is this magnificent blue with not a puff of a cloud to be seen. The air is crisp, cold to freezing and dry ....

This is at my grandson's 6th birthday party last Sunday (he is the one second from the right)

Just blue ..
through bare branches of the Silver Birch in our garden

  5. Beautiful images,
    great blue skies!

I love the picture of the children lined up at the fence. Wouldn't that be the perfect moment for Tom Sawyer to show up and convince them that they wanted to whitewash auntie Polly's fence? (http://www.pbs.org/marktwain/learnmore/writings_tom.html)
