Weekly Winners : 26 April - 2 May

Barleria obtusa - a small flowered indigenous low growing shrub

I have had fun with my flower photos of this week and creating mosaics. The garden is in it's last flush of autumn flowers before our winter sets in. Our winters are pretty cold - can be freezing - but we do have sunshine most days .. lucky us!! We very very rarely have snow - I have only experienced snow twice here in Johannesburg in the 35 years we've been here. .. and we come from Rhodesia/Zimbabwe which has the BEST climate in the world ... hot to mild summers and mild winters.
Soooo ... the first mosaic is curls and swirls of a canna and arum leaf, iris and fuschia

... nasturtium, palm, cactus, cycad, fuschia buds

.... tiny white plectranthus, ivy, canna leaf, nasturtium, bougainvillea (Donya), canna leaf (again), daylily

... arum leaf, hypoestes aristata (ribbon bush), cactus, bougainvillea (Donya - again!), Iceberg rose, daylily

.... succulents flowers ..

.. water droplets on the echevaria ...

Magnificent fungi have grown on a stump of a shrub which was cut down a couple of years ago ..

... and whenever I see them I start singing ...

"Three little men in a flying saucer flew round the world one day,
they looked left and right and didn't like the sight, so one man flew away.
Two little men in a flying saucer .......... ...... ..... "

What would a Weekly Winners post be without a littlie or two ...!!!!!

... just one today -
