The photo of your mom's hands was very moving. I lost my dad in 1994 just after the elections, in fact. I felt as if my safety net was gone. My mom passed away in 2001. It was the end of an era. Suddenly we are the older generation!
I gave you an Award on my blog. Some bloggers like awards; others don't! Either way, just to tell you that I enjoy your blog!
I am rather techno-illiterate myself but try highlighting the award, press control C, close and then paste (control V) in any folder of your photos. It should copy. I then write my b log posting and search for and paste the Award just like any other photo. Another tip I just discovered is the fantastic library of images (ie of famous people or whatever) available on Google Images. You can copy them using Page functions in the right hand of your toolbar into your photos folder and then use. This has given me a lot more material to blog with.
Hello Avril. I have wandered over from Eleanor's blog being a fellow S African. My dad passed away 18 years ago so you have my deepest sympathy. I know what that loss is like.
I was going to Monte yesterday and got sidetracked and ended up at the Cradle of Humankind instead. LOL!!
